How I got into wine......and how the site got started.
My name is Matt and I live in San Diego, California.In my opinion, it's one of the funnest and most laid-back places in the US. There are wineries nearby in Temecula, wine bars, tasting rooms, and about a million amazing restaurants all over San Diego. I think it's safe to say that I'm happy as a clam here! Not only do I enjoy living here, I love what I do. I spend my free time eating and drinking, learning about wine, traveling around, and writing for my website. I have a great time doing all of this, meeting other fun wine-lovers, and even getting paid for it! I have a lot of big plans for the site, including some wine get-togethers and some tastings and events at wineries around San Diego and Temecula. As my site has grown, some people have started asking me about the site and how they can make one of their own. I have found that lots of people are interested in building online businesses, sharing their knowledge, and creating their own communities. But most have no idea where to start, no time to invest in learning all the skills, and no idea how to turn their idea into income.
My story...Traveling and wine have been passions of mine for a long time. It started when I was in college (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo), where I was introduced to the wineries up in Paso Robles and the surrounding area. As I started exploring wine regions farther and farther away, in California, Mexico, and Oregon, I often wished I could make a career of travelling around, sampling unfamiliar local cuisine and tasting fantastic wine. But, of course the real world interfered...day jobs, bills, and money always seemed to keep me from fulfilling my dream of world travel and wine adventures! Now don't get me wrong, I have a good engineering job in San Diego that I still enjoy very much. I have always enjoyed my work, but I worried that it would consume my life, and I would never have the chance to live my dreams because of work. For months I wasted time browsing the internet, trying to learn the basics of online business so I could turn my passion into a real business. But there was so much to learn, it would take years before I could develop the knowledge and skills to do it all myself.

Most of the hosting sites and site builders out there really don't make it easy on a beginner! Without some kind of guidance, there is a steep learning curve, and even then you will never find everything you need to know in one place. Then I stumbled onto SBI. The downside...Some people might think this is all too good to be true. After all, there are a ton of online sites claiming to make you tons of money with little or no effort, and they are scams.
