San Diego Wine Tasting
San Diego might not come to mind as a top wine destination, but as a SD resident, I can tell you that there is plenty here for the wine lover.Located about an hour from the Temecula Valley wine country, San Diego is packed with wine bars, wine tasting rooms, and events all year round. There are actually over 50 wineries in San Diego county! Everyone knows that San Diego nightlife is fantastic, and the scene has been growing over the past few years. Along with a great selection of breweries and micro brew events, the San Diego wine scene has been blossoming, helped more than a little by events like the San Diego Wine and Food Festival. The Gaslamp District downtown is packed with blocks and blocks of fantastic restaurants, bars, wine joints and clubs. While the San Diego restaurants are legendary, there is plenty here for the wine connoisseur as well. I have fallen in love with this beautiful city, and I love writing about all the fun places, deals on southern California wine tours, and inside info!
