White Wine Sauteed Shrimp Recipe
This is a very quick and easy sauteed shrimp recipe that tastes great. It's perfect for the beginner chef just learning to cook with wine. Make sure to get your shrimp pre-peeled and de-veined, because peeling shrimp is a pain and not worth the effort!
Ingredients
1 lb shrimp, peeled and de-veined
2 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup white wine
2 tbsp parsley, chopped
1/4 tbsp black pepper
salt
Directions
Heat the oil on high and cook the garlic for 3 minutes, stirring constantly so it doesn't burn.
Add the shrimp and sautee both sides until they turn pink (about 3 minutes per side). Add the wine and cook until the shrimp are done. Sprinkle on the parsley, salt, and pepper. Serve the shrimp with pasta noodles.
Pair with a bottle of your favorite Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. See my page on wine and food pairing.
Have a Great Wine Recipe?
I don't have the time to invest gathering 100 more recipes, and I also don't want my site to become too one-dimensional by only having my own personal recipes. So I want people to contribute their favorite recipes and vote or comment on the best. This will allow my visitors (that's you!) to share their favorite recipes, contribute content, vote, experiment, and receive kudos from fellow visitors on their grandma's best recipe. It's a win-win for everyone. I get really good additional content and my visitors get to be part of the community!
